ADDITIONAL TRUSTEES NEEDED!
The Greater New Brighton Community Leadership Group (CLG) is now the Greater New Brighton Charitable Trust – and we need 1-2 new trustees to join the current group!
The trustees are currently working through numerous quotes and estimates around the proposed Village Green. It’s an understatement to say that it is taking longer than we thought it would. Getting a clear understanding of Council regulations and the impact on materials and costs is a major task!
A Resource Consent has been submitted to the Christchurch City Council and we are currently working through the details associated with the Building Consent.
We are also working with Life in Vacant Spaces as our partner in the future management of the site. The operational budget around this project is being determined alongside the build and other setup costs, to ensure that our proposals fit within the initial grant that came from the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust.
In the meantime we continue to work collaboratively with the developer/land owner, the City Council, Christchurch NZ and other parties to coordinate the project details.
We do need help from the community in these tasks. If you have specialist knowledge in building, finance, accounting or marketing, please express your interest to greaternewbrighton@gmail.com, identifying the experience and skill set you have that you feel would be of benefit to the Trust.
